Australia and New Zealand have quite the variable climate. While snow is quite uncommon, the winter months of June to August can be very wet and windy. December through February -- the summer months -- tend to be hot and humid. While visiting the "Down Under," make sure to dress "casual but smart." All vacationers should ensure that they have packed a rain coat, a pair or two of walking shoes, and a compact umbrella for the random occasional downpour. It goes unsaid that a camera is a must for this area of the world.
